Message from ISPP President
During the 9th International Congress of Plant Pathology, held at Torino in 2008, and on the behalf of the International Society of Plant Pathology (ISPP), the Postharvest Pathology Committee decided to organize an International Postharvest Pathology Meeting. The aims of the meeting are to present advances in research on Postharvest Pathology, and to provide an opportunity for postharvest pathologists to exchange information between the 9th and the 10th Congresses of the International Society of Plant Pathology.
The University of Lleida (UdL) and the Institute for Food and Agriculture Research and Technology (IRTA) invite you to attend the INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF POSTHARVEST PATHOLOGY at Lleida, April 11-14, 2011. Prof. Inmaculada Viñas, Coordinator of the Postharvest Programme of IRTA and Dr. Josep Usall, Coordinator of the Sustainable Plant Protection Programme of IRTA, together with the organizers and scientific committees, are planning an outstanding Congress Programme, as well as an unforgettable experience in Lleida.
This city is located in one of the most fertile and productive areas in Europe. Its economy is based on the agro-food sector, as well as on all kind of services. Located on the River Segre, halfway between the sea and the mountains, and perfectly linked, Lleida is on the route that connects Spain with the rest of Europe and the Mediterranean.
